Nickens, Griffins outduel Isom in Destrehan’s 42-21 road defeat

Destrehan quarterback Donovan Isom rushed for three touchdowns but it wasn’t enough to overcome his Dutchtown counterpart in the Wildcats’ 42-21 road loss Friday night. Dutchtown quarterback Mason Nickens accounted for four touchdowns and got a bit more help from his teammates in the Griffins’ victory. The Karr Cougars were in a giving mood early, but it didn"t last long. Karr allowed a 64-yard touchdown pass on the opening play from scrimmage to fall behind 7-0 and committed several mistakes early before cruising to a 45-7 win at Destrehan. Destrehan rolls to 47-8 victory in Robicheaux’s return against SJH

It may not have been all pretty, but the resumption of the Stephen Robicheaux era at Destrehan got off to a pretty solid start Friday night with a 47-8 victory at St. James. The Fighting Wildcats of Destrehan outnumbered, outmanned and outplayed the Mighty Wildcats of St. James, rolling up 311 yards of offense.
