A couple of folks in Destrehan have been calling the new wide receiver, “The Kid from Newman” – mainly because they couldn’t remember his name, After Thursday night’s Ed Reed River Parishes Jamboree, that shouldn’t be a problem. There has been a lot of talk heading into this season about Destrehan quarterback Donovan Isom. The 6-foot-4, 240 pound senior, who has committed to Utah, showed Friday night at Salmen that he certainly is worthy of all the attention he is getting.
