Mumford and Sons may have been the Voodoo Fest headliner nearby at City Park but it was Robicheaux and the Wildcats who got top billing at Tad Gormely Stadium Friday as Destrehan survived a late Jesuit rally for a 28-23 win. The one-two punch of running backs John Emery and Kyle Edwards delivered an early knockout blow to H.L. Bourgeois in Destrehan’s 47-0 domination of the visiting Braves in District 7-5A action Friday night. By Tate Roussel Big plays by Destrehan led to 51 first-half points as the Wildcats put together a dominating performance in a 51-21 District 7-5A win Friday night over visiting against Central Lafourche. Led by seniors J.R. For a second straight season, it was Destrehan holding off East St. John by the identical score of 35-34 in another "wild" battle of these two River Parish District 7-5A rivals.
