East St. John unable to hold onto early lead in playoff loss to Jesuit

After falling behind by two touchdowns, Jesuit scored 49 straight points in eliminating the Wildcats 49-20 in the Class 5A regional playoffs Friday in Reserve. The Higgins Hurricanes picked the right time to be able to finish a game. A week after losing 25-8 to Hahnville to fall out of a first-place tie in District 8-5A with East St. John, the Hurricanes stormed into Reserve and came away with a 20-15 win over the district only remaining unbeaten team.
