East St. John got off to a quick start and allowed Parkview Baptist only an intentional safety in the second half to pull off a 28-16 victory over the Eagles. ESJ scored on its opening possession of the game on a 23-yard pass from Darion Monroe to Kadeem Vance. Parkview blocked the extra-point attempt, leaving the Wildcats with a six-point advantage.
