Jerqwinick Sandolph returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown but Hahnville would not score again until the fourth quarter as the Tigers were eliminated from the Class 5A playoffs in the opening round with in a 49-14 loss Friday at West Monroe. Hahnville kept its hopes alive to capture a share of the District 8-5A title with a 28-21 home win Friday night over John Ehret. Hahnville put itself back in the District 8-5A race with a 25-8 home win over Higgins on Friday night. The win evened Hahnville’s overall record at 4-4, but more importantly, moved the Tigers to 2-1 in district play. Higgins entered the game 2-0 in district.
