Hahnville kept its hopes alive to capture a share of the District 8-5A title with a 28-21 home win Friday night over John Ehret. The Tigers’ win, coupled with East St. John’s 20-15 home loss to Higgins, left all three teams in a tie for first place in the district with one week remaining. Hahnville put itself back in the District 8-5A race with a 25-8 home win over Higgins on Friday night. The win evened Hahnville’s overall record at 4-4, but more importantly, moved the Tigers to 2-1 in district play. Higgins entered the game 2-0 in district.
