Facing a mass of humanity in the form of East Ascension’s offensive and defensive lines a year ago, Lutcher seemed to find the right recipe early to defeat the Spartans. It may have been a game that didn’t count but fans at the Ed Reed/Jarvis Landry Jamboree on Friday night in Lutcher quickly realized why Destrehan’s John Emery will be running in the SEC next season. Although it may only be a jamboree and it doesn’t count, when Destrehan takes on Lutcher, it sort of has the feel of a regular-season contest. “It turns out that way.
