During their playoff run, the Hahnville Tigers had a penchant of holding down previously high-scoring opponents. In a 49-12 win in the opening round of the Class 5A playoffs, the Tigers held Alexandria, which had been averaging 54.2 points per game to more than 40 points below its average.
