River Parish teams again left their mark at the annual state Airo 7x7 Tournament Thursday at St. Amant High School.

East St. led the way, finishing second overall. The Wildcats went 4-0 in pool play, then advanced all the way to the championship game where they fell just short, falling to St. Aug 23-14.

St. James went 3-1 in pool play and advanced to the semifinals before they too were knocked off by eventual state champion St. Aug.

St. Charles went 2-2 in pool play and looked solid against 5A competition, including the defending 5A State Champions Landry-Walker.
