Rebels go cold in second half in Riverside’s loss to Greenies

Like the temperatures in uptown New Orleans, things got cold for Riverside after building a 7-0 halftime lead at Newman. By the time the game ended, the wind had picked up and temperatures in the upper 50s surrounded the Rebels who walked off the field following a 21-7 District 9-2 loss to the Greenies. Jonquial Sanders rushed for 167 yards, Tate Scioneaux passed for 93 yards and Riverside Academy scored off of special teams and defense to offset the one-man show of Norbert Ralph in a 48-47 non-district home win over Miller-McCoy on Friday.
