Only the scoreboard reaching 0:00 could stop the offenses of Riverside Academy and Newman on Friday night in Reserve. The two teams gave new meaning to the word “shootout” as the Rebels and Greenies combined for more than 1,000 yards of offense in Riverside’s dramatic 48-44 District 9-2A victory. Riverside Academy’s go-to guys on offense came up big in the Rebels’ 33-0 non-district home win Friday against Miller-McCoy.
