For the second time this season, there are co-winners of the Buckwalter Insurance/River Parish Player of the Week as St. James wide receiver Dontaze Costly and Riverside kicker/wide receiver Tyler Gauthier split the honor. Costly had 7 receptions for what is believed to be a school record 259 yards receiving to go along with a pair of touchdown receptions in the Wildcats’ 20-12 win at South Plaquemines. It took Riverside Academy only two plays into the second half to leave no doubt about the outcome of the Rebels’ District 8-2A Homecoming game against South Plaquemines. Riverside freshman quarterback Jordan Loving hooked up with Herb McGee on a 65-yard touchdown strike 25 seconds into the second half to give the Rebels a commanding 30-0 lead on their way to a 40-0 win over the Hurricanes as Riverside remained unbeaten on the season. ...
