When Bill Stubbs returned to coaching from a decade-long hibernation, two of the first young cubs he encountered were Evan Veron and Herb McGee. Veron and McGee were freshmen when Stubbs, a veteran of three state championship teams at Salmen, returned to the football coaching ranks at Riverside Academy in 2012.
