THIBODAUX  - During a 40-year coaching career, Don Rodrigue has worn many hats, including those of Rayne, H.L. Bourgeois, St. James and Vandebilt Catholic, along with another from Nicholls. Rodrigue was back on the Thibodaux campus Monday after taking over as the camp director of the Offensive-Defensive Line camp. NEW ORLEANS – St. James found out early Saturday afternoon in its three-team scrimmage to conclude spring practice what the Wildcats are capable of and what they need to work on. When David Charles drove down the tree-lined road of the St. James campus Thursday afternoon, he couldn’t help but think of 1979. The Wildcats were playing Wossman for the Class 3A state championship. The game wound up 8-8 after regulation. A new overtime rule would decide the outcome.
