St. James senior quarterback Lowell Narcisse suffered yet another anterior cruciate ligament tear to his knee and will be lost for the second-straight season. Jesuit came up with all of the scoring in the second half to take a 21-14 win over Hahnville in jamboree football action Thursday in Boutte. A 5-yard run by Jesuit’s Connor Prouet, who rushed for 117 yards on 20 carries, tied the game 14-14 with 13:26 left in the game. When Robert Valdez decided to switch his offense away from a power game years ago at West St. John, one of the coaches he consulted was an assistant coach at Lutcher. That Lutcher coach was Dwain Jenkins. Jenkins went on to serve as head coach at St. James for three years and when his alma mater called him home, Valdez became his replacement as the Wildcats’ new coach.
